I am an independent midwife living and working in Barcelona. As I am a British midwife living and working in Spain, I have found it challenging to keep up to date with all the new information coming out. Of course NHS policies etc still interest me greatly. Although I am not practicing at home, trying to keep abreast of the changes keeps me connected to my colleagues in the UK and strengthens my practice here.
All though I do work with other midwives here I can sometimes feel a bit in the wilderness and its sites like this and Sarah Wickhams site that shed light on my path.
